Implantology rates

In the Netherlands, dental rates are set by the government. Below you will find an overview of the rates for our implantological consultations. If you need more information about the costs of placing the implant, ask your doctor for an estimate.

Conditions for implant placement

Before implants can be placed, a number of conditions must be met:

  • There must be sufficient jaw bone present and the jaw bone must be in the right place. If this is not the case, it will be checked whether the quality of the bone can be improved at the location where the implant should be placed;
  • The jawbone must have grown. This is usually the case from the age of 18;
  • Health: It is important that the gums around the area to be treated are in good condition. In addition, we advise patients not to smoke or drink alcohol during the treatment period;
  • It is important to know in advance that the implants and the construction must be cleaned properly and regularly.

Implantology options

Implantology offers the possibility of replacing non-functioning teeth by means of implants and the constructions made on them. With implantology we replace the natural root in the teeth with an artificial root. The artificial roots - also called implants - can be placed in the jaw if one or more teeth, molars and roots are missing.

Because implants are made of titanium, they are very body-friendly. Titanium is non-toxic, so the body will not reject the implants. Over time, the implants grow into the bone. A bridge, crown or overdenture can then be placed on the implant.
